The conferences will be located in two buildings: the university main building and the Porthania building (just across the street). ICML tutorials and the main conference will be in the main building. UAI and COLT will be in Porthania. The workshops are divided between the two buildings.
During the main ICML conference, availability of floor space in lobbies is a critical constraint due to poster stands, coffee service and lots of people moving around. Our current plan is to have publishers etc. in the main lobby together with the registration desk. An alternative would be to have the publishers' displays etc. in one or more separate rooms. For example, have a look at lecture room 7, which is a lecture room that normally seats 42 students and adjoins one of the main lobbies we are using. It's a bit constricted, but hopefully not everyone will want to visit the displays at the same time.
If the publishers want to stay for UAI and COLT, they are free to do so, but will need to move to Porthania. UAI and COLT will not require any payment. COLT and UAI will have fewer people, and usually not that many exhibitors, so we do not expect space problems. Ideally the displays should move to the lobby of Porthania when ICML ends so we could use the rooms in the main building for workshops. (There's plenty of lecture rooms in other parts of the main building, but we'd rather not spread all over the place.)
